Since the heartbreaking and unexpected passing of the king of pop, Michael Jackson vinyl has risen in value with classic collections of Michael Jackson vinyl fetching large amounts of money between collectors and online auction sites such as eBay. Limited edition pressings, picture discs and still sealed editions of his albums are fast becoming highly collectible pieces of pop history. Whether or not you’re an avid fan who’s eager to own a sentimental keepsake or a hardened collector who’s looking to obtain a vintage, collectors piece it’s never been easier to search for your most wanted Michael Jackson vinyl albums, singles and promotional releases.
From his later work to his earliest Motown treasures, rare Jackson vinyl is something that’s sure to give any fan or collector butterflies. Some of his most sought after pieces include releases that you would think would be easily obtained, albums such as his last release ‘Invincible’ is a highly collectible album on double LP if it remains sealed in its factory, shrink-wrapped covering. Mint condition stereo 1st pressings of his part original/part remix album ‘Blood on the Dancefloor’ are becoming a rare addition to any Michael Jackson vinyl collection.
In addition to newer releases and factory sealed pressings, other collectible pieces of MJ vinyl are his picture discs and promotional releases. Some of the most valued pieces are picture disc versions of his 1991 album ‘Dangerous’ as well as a Pepsi endorsed promotional picture disc of his ‘Bad’ album, complete with “Pepsi Presents” rubber sticker attached to its outer sleeve. One of the nicest promotional collectibles is an uncut promotional picture disc test pressing of his ‘Man in the Mirror’ single which is becoming one of the rarest Michael Jackson vinyl collectables to date. These are just a small number of the extremely rare releases that were originally available to the UK record buying public that have since become exceptionally collectible pieces.
