Besides the star quality or the statistics, which determines the values of the cards? Photo poses, age, rarity?
I ask that help me separate this value and reduce space. I have met hundreds, even thousands of baseball cards for the period 1987-1991, some still in boxes, all in perfect state and who want to reduce the amount without throwing something of value.
Of course, all the things you mentioned play an important role. But … if you have a card of a star or Hall of Fame, one of the main things sought by collectors of cards is centered. If the image and the information is not exactly the center, it will be worth almost as much to that. You should also check the ranking of those who believed it would be more valuable. Different companies inspect card and give it a score of 1-10. They check for the balance, no bent corners, loss of color, etc. Hope this helps!
