How can we do the work of a "personal assistant" to a movie star, director, or any other personality.?
I have a friend that is very competent, hard working person, but is now in a dead end in his life. He is convinced that he could be a personal assistant to a movie star, director, or other celebrities. How would I go about getting the job? (No sarcastic answers please.)
Being an assistant is a highly coveted, and is a work that can be very unpleasant. Your friend does not have to work on own or have a rounded knowledge of the industry, but will Starting from a lower position and the work itself. Most development companies or production companies and drivers need people to answer phone (these jobs are easy to find). This is where people usually start. If your friend can put in with the abuse, that someone is aware of it and make it an assistant.
